When does the 10 year guarantee start?
The 10-year guarantee covers furniture purchased on or after 1st January 2025. Items bought before this date are covered under our previous 1-year guarantee.
Do I need to register my guarantee?
No, your guarantee will be valid for 10 years from the date of the transaction.
How long is the furniture guarantee valid?
All of our furniture comes with a 10 year guarantee which is valid from the date of purchase.
What does the furniture guarantee cover?
Our guarantee typically covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. This includes:
· Frames
· Joints
· Hinges
· Drawers
· Doors
· Cushion Inners
What is not covered under the guarantee?
The guarantee does
not cover:
1. Any fabric items
2. General liquid spillages
3. Colour fading
4. Slight colour variations
5. Stains such as acidic and oily substances which can penetrate the wood and cause permanent staining.
6. Wear and tear from normal use, including scratches, fading, or stains.
7. Excessive wear and tear, including pet damage.
8. Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or accidents (e.g., spills, improper cleaning methods).
9. Damage due to exposure to extreme conditions (e.g., direct sunlight, humidity, or
water).
10. Any items purchased in our 'Not Quite Perfect' sales.
11. Furniture that has been altered or
repaired outside of La Residence Interiors.
12. Accidental damage, weather-related damage, water damage, inappropriate cleaning, or any issues caused by neglect or not following our care guide.
13. Natural changes over time, including fading and cracking in timber, as well as colour variations in fabric and wood.
14. Resold items and second-hand.
15. Fabric fading due to natural light exposure.
How do I make a claim under the guarantee?
To file a claim, please contact our technical team at technical@laresidenceinteriors.co.uk with the following:

· Photos of the affected item
What happens once I’ve made a claim?
We will assess your claim and provide repair, replacement, or other resolution options as
appropriate.
Do I have to pay for repairs under the guarantee?
If your claim is accepted and falls within the guaranteed terms, repairs or replacements are free of charge.
Is furniture purchased from 'Not Quite Perfect' sales covered by the guarantee?
No, the guarantee is not valid on items purchased in our 'Not Quite Perfect' sales.
Can the guarantee be transferred if I sell or give away the furniture?
No, the guarantee is only valid for the original purchaser and is not transferable.
If I accept a discount on a product due to a fault, does it invalidate my guarantee?
No, accepting a discount for a known fault does not invalidate your guarantee. However, the specific fault you accepted the discount for will not be covered. The rest of the product remains covered under the standard guarantee.
When does my guarantee expire?
Your guarantee will expire 10 years after the date of purchase.
How do I care for my furniture to keep the guarantee valid?
Please follow the care instructions provided on our website. Using improper cleaning methods or failing to maintain the furniture as advised may void the guarantee.
