Proud to win gold at the Surrey Digital Awards 2016

We were over the moon to have been nominated as a finalist for two awards for the Surrey Digital Awards 2016. Now in its second year these awards reward innovation and progressive thinking by businesses, individuals, events, charities or educational establishments. 

We were finalists for two awards covering two categories, which were Website: Lifestyle and Culture and Website: Small Business. This is the first award we had been nominated for, for our business and we weren’t sure what to expect, but the anticipation of winning a possible award caused great excitement for us. Therefore we were very happy when the day finally arrived.

The evening commenced with a champagne reception, which was full of lots of other excited business owners chatting and networking amongst each other. We were then ushered to the main event room where the awards ceremony was to take place.

The evening continued with live music from an acoustic trio, while dinner was served and we chatted to fellow nominees about our businesses and experiences.

The evening’s entertainment was rounded up by a presentation by Mclaren’s Head of Digital and Social Media, which was very interesting. The awards ceremony soon followed and there were 16 awards to be presented to the businesses which had reached the finals.

Early into the evening the first category which we’d been nominated for was announced and to our absolute shock and surprise we were the winners of the Gold Award for Website: Lifestyle and Culture.

We were quickly ushered onto the stage to receive our award and then interviewed in the winners' enclosure. This was a great start to the evening. It was so fantastic to see so many businesses large and small being recognised for all their hard work and achievements.

We met some lovely fellow business owners and it was great to be able to network with like-minded people, who all run such diverse businesses. It was great to see all the awards presented and how happy everyone was with their recognition.

We have placed our award on our mantelpiece to be admired and it will soon make its way to our showroom for us to show off to all our customers.
